At last the plaza grande!

At last the plaza grande!

This is the final destination for my walks most days, and unfortunately this gives a small look at the enormity of this place. The plaza grande is a great center of the city with a lot of things going on all at once. This centro is lined by the cathedral, the governor’s mansion, museums, the building de independencia, and so many other things. Every saturday the city closes off the paseo and calle 60 going all the way down through and past the plaza grande (for 8 kilometers) to cars in order for pedestrians and cyclists to take to the streets; the bici-ruta. For this, the plaza itself is packed full of people, vendors, and performers. We watched a couple of dances by a folk group on our way.
Regardless of the day, the plaza grande is good for just about everything; wandering solo, shopping, talking with locals, meeting with friends, and always having a good time.

About bassist5656

Hi, I am just beginning a world adventure of my very own! My name is Tristan Davis Fralick and I am a nursing and social justice student from the central New York region. I really enjoy working with people and I have made it my goal to see as much of the world's cultures as possible to best understand and relate to the people that live all around us. In my free-time I enjoy hiking, biking, swimming, playing music, cooking, writing (obviously), and learning new things in any way that I can. This is a blog consisting of my travels past and present. I hope that you enjoy!
